The Isle of Man Music Service works with primary and secondary schools throughout the Isle of Man to provide exciting musical pathways for young people at every stage of their learning. Through tuition, music ensembles, workshops and performances, our young musicians can participate in music making in a range of styles, from absolute beginners to very advanced players.
We teach more than 1200 young people every week during term time to play musical instruments and to sing through small group, whole class or individual lessons delivered by professional and experienced specialist teachers. As soon as they are ready they are encouraged to participate in school and community music making, including the Manx Youth Orchestra ensembles on Saturday morning.
We pride ourselves in looking after the needs of every learner and providing the specialist tuition required for each young musician to realise their potential.
