Key Stage 2 Roadshow Concert Tour May 2024

Published Friday 14 June 2024

Nine Music Service teachers hit the road during TT practice week to entertain and educate pupils about four of the elements of music. The pupils were treated to an exciting variety of performances and even produced a vocal and body sounds performance themselves.

There were performances in a wide variety of musical styles on many different instruments. The groups included a blues band, a drum ensemble and an extremely small orchestra which performed part of Haydn’s Surprise Symphony.

Nine lucky schools were visited in the Douglas area and towards the west. The team are looking forward to hitting the road again soon.

Here is what some teachers had to say about the concerts:

“Our kids loved it! Staff too. It was fun, and really showed the children a clear understanding of what they could do if they decide to learn a musical instrument.”

“What a fantastic roadshow.

The children and staff really enjoyed it. It was so engaging, and everyone was hooked and learning without even realising it.

All I could suggest is more of the same – fun, active and uplifting.”

“We thought it was fab! Thank you very much.”
