Tuesday 5th March saw our second Young Musicians’ Forum concert this year which was held at St Ninian’s Lower School. This concert was varied with year 5 students performing for their first time alongside Year 13 students doing their final performances.
We had a wide variety of music which included Shostakovich, Manx folk music, and Film songs. Many of the students were preparing for upcoming music grade exams, A level recitals or the Manx Folk Awards so this gave them a perfect opportunity to perform in front of a friendly audience.
Many Thanks to Ms Hope, Mrs Galka, Mrs Singleton, Mrs Dube and Mr Reynolds for encouraging their students to take part. Thanks also to Mrs Reynolds for accompanying some students in their performances and to Mr Wright for being our compere for the evening.
Our next Young Musicans Forum is after TT at Castle Rushen High School and we look forward to another varied concert.
