Anagh Coar Soundstart Concert 2021

Published Friday 5 November 2021

This year is the eleventh year that the Soundstart scheme has been in Anagh Coar Primary and it continues to be a great success. A big congratulations to the Year 5 & 6s for performing so well after a tricky year.

Each year, all Year 5 students get the opportunity to learn either a brass, percussion or woodwind instrument for the year free of charge and then have the option to continue into Year 6. Throughout the year the students learn about pitch and rhythm, read music, produce notes clearly and ensemble skills.

A massive thank you has to go to the school for the continued support, the parents for supporting the students with their practice at home and of course all of the students for their hard work, concentration and dedication to learning their instrument - we hope many of you continue your musical learning long into the future.
