Anagh Coar Soundstart Concert

Published Thursday 23 July 2020

At the end of a challenging year, it was excellent to see all of the Anagh Coar Soundstart band have the opportunity to put on a concert for the rest of the school. Back in September all of the Year 5 students were given demonstrations of the different instruments (Woodwind, Brass and Percussion). They then tried each instrument to find which one they liked. Throughout the year they have a mixture of lessons and band sessions to learn what it's like to play an instrument and work as a team in a band situation. Despite the enforced break that everyone has had to deal with, having their annual concert was a really positive way to end the year and hopefully it has inspired them to continue their instruments into Year 6 and beyond.

A big thank you has to go out to the Anagh Coar staff for supporting the Soundstart program and the Music Service.
