Music Making in Specialist Provision Centres

Published Thursday 4 May 2023

Our own Music Service's Rosalind Singleton recently facilitated an immersive training session for all SPC staff, aimed at enhancing the use of music in SPCs. Participants gained valuable insight into incorporating music into their programs, expanding their knowledge and understanding of musical activities. The training emphasised the importance of music in promoting learning in other areas and encouraged sharing of personal experiences and resources.

As a service, we are also pleased to offer specialist music training for DESC staff. Don't miss Rosalind's upcoming session on Thursday, 16th June, for more in-depth learning!

Course Highlights:

  • Comprehensive training for SPC staff to effectively integrate music into their programs
  • Focused on building confidence, knowledge, and understanding of music in SPCs
  • Explored a diverse repertoire of musical activities suitable for various key stages
  • Demonstrated how music can facilitate learning in other subject areas
  • Fostered a collaborative environment for sharing ideas, experiences, and resources
  • Specialist music training available for DESC staff

Upcoming session with Rosalind Singleton on Thursday, 16th June; contact CPD bookings to secure your spot.
